The New Year is here and if you haven’t done so already, now is the perfect time to make it your most successful year yet. If you’re a business owner, the likelihood is that your plans are already set in motion for the year ahead.
If you haven’t made any plans or are searching for inspiration, check out my tips for making 2015 a productive time!
Be innovative: we all like to follow trends, but this year, be the one who sets the agenda. Approach your business with innovation in mind, thinking of new ways to offer your products/services, and how to attract customers. Perhaps use social media in a forward-thinking manner, and take advantage of new marketing ideas to promote your business.
Treasure your downtime: it’s really important to have downtime, especially when running a business can feel like it’s taking up all of your time! If you need to, schedule in time to exercise, a weekly movie date or just block off time to do whatever you want.
Find your influencers and advocates: mentors, sponsors, influencers and advocates are vital for both your personal and professional development. Make a goal to expand your network in 2015, seeking out individuals you admire and those that can advocate your strengths and successes.
Trust your gut: this is one of my personal goals for 2015, and I’ve learned in the last year when I should have listened to my own judgement! Can there be any better scale of measurement?
Help others: commit to giving back in the New Year by helping others in your field of work. I always try to support those who are just starting out in their careers, mindful of those who were so supportive of me. Always think of karma!
