One of the pillars of Sylvan's strong franchisee foundation is supporting each franchisee’s growth and development. As part of our relationship and commitment to supporting our franchisees, we offer some of the best training courses and support systems. Last week, a group of our new franchisees came into town to attend Sylvan 101, one of our many training courses offered to franchisees.
Sylvan 101 is designed to give new franchisees and their staff an understanding of the fundamentals on how to build and grow a successful Sylvan Learning business. All Sylvan franchisees are required to attend this training located at our headquarters in Baltimore, MD. Franchisees have a chance to meet and interact with staff from each department at our corporate office and get their questions answered.
Key topics include:
- Operations and Growth
As part of Sylvan 101, we get to hear some impactful stories from our franchisees on why they selected to own a Sylvan franchise. One great story from this week's class was from a husband and wife franchisee duo. Hemant and Mansi Garg had hit a point in the decision making process where they were not certain Sylvan was the right fit for them. They were invited to a Sylvan Franchise Owner Association (FOA) mixer, in which they met other franchisees and members of the corporate staff. This event quickly changed the tide for them. The Gargs expressed that the overwhelming welcome and support they felt was so powerful, they knew they had found their family. The opportunity to join such a warm and strong "family" was what convinced the Gargs that Sylvan was right for them.
And it's true... we tend to call Sylvan's network of franchisees "family," because fellow franchisees help support, challenge and inspire one another to achieve greater success in their businesses.
